Class 3 – “Peggy Waters” – Greater Harrisburg Rose Society Arranger’s choice of ORIENTAL STYLES. Staged on a standard table with an allotted space of 20 inches wide and 30 inches high with a base of 20 inches by 20 inches. This arrangement requires a back and baseboard whose actual size may be smaller than the allotted space for best presentation of the arrangement. Eligible for the ARS Oriental Award. Class 4 – “Memorial Fountain” – South Penn Area Rose Society A MINIATURE ORIENTAL arrangement of arranger’s choice using mini or miniflora roses. Arrangement will be staged on a raised birdcage with a 10 inch square top. Top to be covered by arranger. No backboard required. Arrangement can be no bigger than 10 inches high, 10 inches wide, and 10 inches in depth. Type of oriental design must be written on entry ticket. Eligible for the ARS Mini-Oriental Award. Class 5 – “The Klings “ – York Area Rose Society A romantic EXHIBITION dinner for two. A decorative arrangement and cloth are required. A minimum 12” to 18” drop is suggested. No flatware or food are allowed. Staged on a 36” card table provided by the committee. Eligible for the ARS Court Of Etiquette Award. Class 6 – “Leonie Bell” – Philadelphia Rose Society A SMALL ARRANGEMENT of arranger’s choice. Duke arrangement can use any type of roses. To be staged on a standard table with a space allotment of 22 inches wide, 21 inches high, and 22 inches in depth. Arrangement can be up to 20 x 20 x 20. Baseboard required, backboard optional. Style of arrangement (modern, traditional, Oriental) must be listed on the entry card. Eligible for DUKE AWARD Class 7 – “Lincoln Atkiss” – Del-Chester Rose Society A design of JUDGES CHOICE. Limited to judges who are judging any section of the show and are registered for the convention. To be staged on a standard table. If a standard arrangement, the space allotted will be 20 inches wide and 20 inches in depth. If a miniature arrangement, the space allotted will be 12 inches wide and 12 inches in depth with the arrangement being no larger than 10 inches by 10 inches by 10 inches. No backboards required but baseboards are suggested. Arrangement style must be written on the entry ticket. Eligible for ARS Best Judges’ Award. Because of space limitations, judges entering this class are requested to contact Joan Singer before September 16, 2008 at 1pm to notify her if you are entering a miniature or a standard design. |
